Time Apart

“Time Apart” provides a window into the lives of young adults during the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic, visually revealing how they were affected. This body of work is featured on the cover and inside cover story of Time Magazine’s June Generation Pandemic Special Issue. An image from this project is also selected as one of Time’s Best Portraits of 2020.

After interviewing my friends about their lives during the initial months of isolation, I art directed remote portraits of them over FaceTime. Together, we created visuals that depicted their unique experiences in quarantine.
